Tom: Have you heard the local newspaper The Times is closing down in three months‘ time?
Mary: Then that‘s good news. That newspaper is terrible. I won‘t miss it.

第一节：短文改错（共10小题；每小题1分，满分10分）
假如英语课上老师要求同桌之间交换修改作文，请你修改你同桌写的一篇作文。文中共有10处语言错误，每句中最多有两处。错误涉及一个单词的增加、删除或修改。
增加：在缺词处加一个漏字符号（∧），并在其下面写出该加的词。
删除：把多余的词用斜线（＼）划掉。
修改：在错的词下划一横线，并在该词下面写出修改后的词。
注意：1．每处错误及其修改均仅限一词；
2．只允许修改10处，多者（从第11处起）不记分。
There are lots of experience in our life. The most unforgettable one for me is the speech competition holding last year. I’m interested in English. When my English teacher told me that I had chosen to take part in the speech competition, I devoted me to the preparation. I was determined to win the first prize. I was such nervous when I stood on the stage that I forgot everything. Not until I caught a sight of my teacher did I calm down. Finally, I do a good job. When I heard I got the first prize, my heart was filled in joy and tears rolled down.
Through this speech competition, I understand that it is confidence which makes people successfully.
第二节：书面表达（满分25分）
假设你是李平，刚被美国Brown University录取，你的笔友Peter来信祝贺，请你用英文给他写一封回信，告诉他你将于2014年4月19日到达美国，希望他能到机场接你并帮你找一住所。住所需包含以下信息：
