One possible version:
Our life journey can’t always be smooth, and we are bound to meet difficulties. Even at the worst time, if we have ambitious heart, we are sure to enjoy a happy and meaningful life.
I still remember my toughest time two years ago. Top student as I had been before, I was horrified to find in my new school I was behind others in math however hard I tried. So pessimistic was I that I sank into desperation. Fortunately my friend Xiao Ling noticed my depression and said: “Cheer up. Never give up.” Inspired by her words, I began to look at myself positively, which gave me the confidence to learn math.
It was my positive attitude and upward desire that made me a happy and successful student again. I totally understand that as long as we are willing to do, all our efforts will pay off definitely some day.
